Columbia, MD (May 23, 2024) –Vision Wealth Partners is proud to announce that the Vision Scholarship Fund has awarded two scholarships to graduating seniors from this year’s class.

For the past several years, the Vision Scholarship Fund has awarded a $20,000 scholarship to a graduating Howard County school student planning to attend a four-year college or university. The scholarship is funded in part by the annual Our Kids Our Future Charity Golf Tournament and its generous sponsors.

We are thrilled to announce that two Oakland Mills graduates have each been awarded a $10,000 scholarship in recognition of their exceptional leadership, achievements, and dedication to our community.

The first recipient, Ashley Hernandez Paez, is the daughter of a veteran and has enlisted in the Maryland Air National Guard to pursue a career in dental healthcare. After completing basic training, she will attend the University of Maryland to earn a degree in Biochemistry.

The second recipient, Viky Valverde, has enlisted in the D.C. Air National Guard and will attend Howard University, where she will study Chemistry and Neuroscience with the goal of becoming a cardiovascular surgeon.

Yesterday, Jason Weszka presented both recipients with their certificates at the Oakland Mills High School Senior Awards Ceremony.
